THE PRESENTER:
Nicky Abdinor is a Clinical Psychologist based in Cape Town with over 20 years of experience in private practice. She is passionate about helping colleagues to create & sustain a practice that is both ethical & meaningful. Therapists were not trained to run a business and often we struggle with the contrast of caring deeply for our clients and attaching monetary value to what we do. Nicky is a firm believer that instead of asking ourselves “CAN we do it?” rather ask ourselves, “HOW can we do it?” Nicky’s content-rich presentation and sense of humour both keeps the attention of the audience and spurs them into action!

After two successful in-person Master Classes during 2026, she has created an online version to make it more accessible. - The basics of tax and structuring a business. A focus on simplifying your tax processes, cash flow & keeping up with financial obligations.
- Your professional digital footprint and how to manage the scope of marketing your practice. What really matters in 2026 and how much do we invest (time, cost and energy-wise) in websites, online listings, branding & the use of social media?
- Using Schema Therapy to understand our default settings that can be triggered in private practice. Nicky uses her therapeutic modality to help us quieten the inner critic and strengthen our inner leader. Burnout prevention is key.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
If I’ve attended Nicky’s online bootcamp, is it worth attending the MASTERCLASS too?
Yes! The MASTERCLASS is my bootcamp ON STERIODS! It is a full-day (rather than 3 hours) and will have loads more value and discussion around the realities of private practice. Many of my current registrations are colleagues who have attended my online bootcamp and webinars in the past.
Is the MASTERCLASS mainly suited to health professionals in the mental health field?
Yes and No… The MASTERCLASS is open to all fields registered with HPCSA or SACSSP (there are various allied health professionals who have done my training before). As I am a Clinical Psychologist, the MASTERCLASS will naturally have a focus on mental health and the section about medical aids & PMB’s will be restricted to those specific diagnoses and codes. The majority of the day is applicable to a variety of professions.
Will there be future in-person MASTERCLASSES in addition to this online version?

- There are NO RECORDINGS for the day. This is to ensure that attendees feel safe and open to contribute and share. My philosophy: “There’s no such thing as a silly question!”
- The workshop has a CAMERA ON policy. While there will be times that you may need to switch your camera off for brief periods, please know that the added value of this workshop is around networking and engagement.
