Starting Private Practice Bootcamp (November 2025)

This LIVE online training course is only open to registered professionals with the Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA) or The South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP). Interns and Community Service practitioners are also welcome. Please supply your HCPSA or SACSSP registration number when you register for this training (add it in the comments for the purchase).

THE PRESENTER:

Nicky Abdinor is a Clinical Psychologist based in Cape Town with 20 years of private practice experience. She often supervises psychologists starting their practices and has created a group platform to make this type of support more accessible to colleagues. Nicky LOVES helping fellow therapists starting a practice. Therapists were never trained to run a business and this can make the “money” side of a practice extremely anxiety-provoking!

• 5 things I wish I knew when I started private practice
• The basics of billing, medical aids & PMB’s
• Practice policies, consent forms & being confident about your rates
• Marketing your practice (including websites and social media)
• Guidelines on making tax more streamlined

There will be an opportunity for Q&A. If there are specific questions that attendees want to be covered, you can email Nicky to make sure it is covered in the session. There is no recording of this session to allow for participants to feel comfortable to interact.  After the session, Nicky will send you LOADS of resources including everything you need to get your practice POPIA-ready. Please note that the course is not CPD accredited. THE GREAT BENEFIT OF THE BOOTCAMP: all attendees get membership to Nicky’s private Facebook group where she answers questions, shares resources and gives you support THROUGHOUT your private practice journey.
